It was Bolton’s second year in the creative hot seat working directly for organisers Jam Events. This past weekend, for a second consecutive year, Matrix Laser has had the privilege to be part of the Baku Grand Prix in Azerbaijan. The star-studded after-race concert line-up included Turkish Superstar Tarkan, as well as Nicole Scherzinger, Black Eyed Peas and on the final night, Mariah Carey. WIcreations specified and fabricated a water fountain and a Tree of Life – for the highly acclaimed Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games, a multinational, multi-sport event staged in Baku, Azerbaijan from 12th to 22th May 2017. WI’s team, Project Managed by Yves Vervloet, was working for Betty Productions Ltd. who coordinated all the creative and technical production elements for the ceremonies on behalf of the Islamic Games Operations Committee. Lee Charteris has been appointed as Director at Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre in Kuwait. The multi venue performing arts centre and part of Kuwait’s National Cultural District. “I look forward to this new challenge in these truly ‘World Class’ facilities,” commented Charteris.
