A day after the SOS Charity fund was launched by DWR Distribution at the end of last year, distressing news was received that 26 year-old Pieter Coetzee, a young technician, had fallen from height and severely injured both feet and shattered his spine. Coetzee was setting up for an event in Cape Town when the incident took place and has since undergone operations in both feet and his back, and should start rehabilitation to learn how to walk again in March. DWR Distribution has welcomed Lee Baird, Marketing Coordinator, to the team. Baird worked alongside her partner, Rob Young, at Theatre and Studio for six years visiting various theatres in the country and maintaining the day to day running of the office. DiGiCo have revealed the new SD12 console, with DWR Distribution embarking on demo tours over January and February. The SD12 includes various features such as 72 input channels and SD Stealth Core 2 software, making it compatible with all other SD Series. Additionally, the SD12 includes remote control options. A daily crowd of over 10,000 came together at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir for the 2016 annual BIC National Day Festival. The event, which ran from 14th-17th December featured Bahrain’s biggest fireworks display and performances from major Arabic stars. Production and control services were supplied by Subfrantic Production Services, and was held in Lagos’ Tafawa-Balewa Square.
