Registration is now open for event professionals involved in crowd safety at venues, major music and sporting events to attend these courses and gain an accredited Showstop Manager qualification.
ESM is bringing the Showstop Procedure course to the Middle East region, continuing the company’s pioneering approach to support major event organisers with training and operational excellence in specialist crowd safety services.
“We are always open to improving our safety protocols where possible,” commented ESM Managing Director, Steven Coleman. “The introduction of this new course and qualification in such an important role gives venues and event professionals an invaluable tool for managing a foreseeable crisis situation. Hosting the region’s first Showstop course in Saudi Arabia is an honour, and reinforces the collective commitment to keeping the public safe at events.”
The Showstop Procedure course, supported by the Pink Bows Foundation, is a one-day, immersive training course designed for experienced, tactical decision‑makers in crowd safety across sports, entertainment, and major events. Since launching in March 2025, its co-founders, Steve Allen and Dr Mark Hamilton, have delivered courses across the UK, USA and Europe, with over 260 event professionals qualifying as Showstop Managers.
The Pink Bows Foundation was created in memory of Madison Dubiski – one of the 10 young people to lose their lives at the Astroworld Travis Scott concert in 2023. They are supporting Allen and Hamilton with the aim to make events safer through establishing a global standardised Showstop Protocol and qualification.
“We are delighted to have met with ESM,” Steve Allen commented. “I immediately felt akin to their approach and respect their achievements to date, along with their aim to always improve and evolve their strategic, tactical and operational skills.
“This Showstop Procedure is a tried-and-tested protocol in life-threatening situations at mass-participation events, which Mark and I have used with total success across the past two decades. We’re delighted to be working with Steven and the team at ESM.”
