INFiLED’s scroll-shaped screen in the wonderful CCTV Qixi Festival Gala

In August 2023, INFiLED produced a creative LED screen for the Qixi Festival Gala of CCTV (China Central Television) on the shore of Fairy Lake in Jiangxi. The screen was in the shape of a scroll, with a size of 7.5m*1m and a display resolution of 2880*384, presenting exciting content in high definition.

Qixi is a Chinese traditional festival considered to symbolize love. Every year, CCTV holds a grand gala, gathers singers, and sings love songs, to celebrate this romantic festival. This time, to create a unique Chinese-style display solution for the gala, the event organizers simulated the scroll-shaped screen as Xuan paper that originated in ancient China, displaying ink-wash paintings with Chinese artistic characteristics.

The impressive screen was from the XII series, made of aluminum alloy, and weighed only 7.9kg in its single cabinet; besides, the maximum hoisting height of the cabinets can reach 10 meters, making it easy to quickly set up a large-sized screen outdoors.
Another great feature of the screen was that its curved surface had a wide range of adjustments, from -30° to +30°, flexible for making creative display solutions.

In terms of display, with a pixel pitch of 2.6mm and grayscale of 16-bit, the screen performed excellently in presenting the beautiful content designed by the gala production team. Also, picture clarity and detail rendering were great thanks to its 5000:1 contrast ratio and even brightness; with no glare, and a wide viewing angle of 160°, allowing the camera crew to clearly capture scenes during the gala recording.
