When it comes to line array systems, aside from the obvious requirement for high power, versatility, scalability and digital steerability are characteristics that can truly set a solution apart. According to Pavel Shemiakin, Managing Director of UAE-based Renkus-Heinz distributor, AVAIL MEA, the company’s IC Live X Series possesses all these qualities and more.
“The IC Live X Series serves as a high-output alternative to traditional mid-size line arrays, bridging the gap between pointsource, vertical array, and beam-steering products, which is why the company refers to the ‘X’ as a crossover,” he explained. “It is a product that meets the requirements of both the install and live sound markets equally.”
The series comes equipped with a raft of features, including the Acoustic Source Multiplier (ASM) waveguide. Karan Kathuria, Director of Sales & Business Development at Renkus-Heinz, elaborated: “Listeners experience flawless audio clarity, even in challenging, highly reverberant architectural spaces like houses of worship or ballrooms with high ceilings and glass walls. Whether sitting in the front row or the very back seat, audience members can clearly understand every word spoken or sung.”
The range has a modular design consisting of three combinable steerable-array modules (ICLX, ICLXL, ICLLX) that can scale up to 12 modules in a single array, as well as two matching subwoofers (ICLX-48S and ICLX-118S). “It functions as an adaptable sound system that fits any size of event or space,” Kathuria commented. “A venue or rental house can configure the exact same hardware to gently fill a small corporate meeting or stack it to throw concert-level SPL across a massive venue. It’s also slim and visually discreet, so audiences can focus fully on the stage without a massive wall of speakers blocking sightlines.”
The Dante-based IC Live X series features the advanced OmniBeam algorithm and RHAON II software control for a more efficient and simplified workflow. According to Kathuria, this means that, instead of spending hours manually configuring audio beams, each venue’s unique geometry can be automatically analysed to optimise coverage. “This ensures that the system is ready faster and consistently provides the best possible sound quality with minimal human error,” he commented.
Kathuria went on to highlight some of the potential applications for the series, which include: performance spaces and auditoriums, live sound reinforcement and concerts, convention centres and ballrooms, themed attractions and outdoor areas, and contemporary houses of worship. “With superior intelligibility, a light footprint, ultimate scalability, climate resilience, seamless smart integration and an elegant look and feel, the IC Live X Series is ideal for a broad spectrum of applications,” he noted.
Rahul Mankar, Regional Sales Manager – MEA, had his say: “Renkus-Heinz gives designers the freedom to shape sound with purpose,” he commented. “Because when technology meets precision, sound doesn’t just fill a space. It defines the experience.”
AVAIL MEA offers extensive support for Renkus-Heinz users in the region, with everything from system design assistance, technical training and product demos to regional warehousing, servicing, last-mile delivery and local fulfilment. “As a long-term Renkus-Heinz partner, the team offers deep expertise in system design, supply and deployment of Renkus-Heinz systems,” stated Shemiakin. “This spans from pre-sale and supply to after-sales stages, supporting AV consultants, integrators, and installers.”
