Stage Audio Works Namibia (SAW Namibia) recently completed a series of free-to-join Streaming & AV Workshops at its Windhoek headquarters. Held on 17 February, industry professionals from across Namibia were invited to a full day of hands-on technology training, interactive demonstrations, and solution showcases.
“We had the privilege of hosting over fifty industry professionals from Houses of Worship, Broadcasting, Retail, Government, Live Events, Content Creation, and Cinematography sectors,” said Johadrie de Villers, SAW Namibia General Manager. “The workshops provided a valuable platform for attendees to gain in-depth training on streaming workflows, video production systems, and AV integration, while creating meaningful opportunities to engage and network with industry representatives.”
SAW Namibia was joined by experts from Blackmagic Design, who conducted sessions on practical workflows and real-world AV use cases. “As an official distributor of Blackmagic Design, we were proud to showcase their latest digital technology and video production innovations through a dynamic mix of presentations and live demonstrations,” de Villers explains. Canon EMEA was also present as an official event partner, showcasing its professional video ecosystem. These workshops gave attendees a practical understanding of how to design, manage, and optimise high-quality streaming and AV systems for their specific environments.
Attendees enjoyed training and product insights tailored to the specific needs of their respective industries. For professionals working in live events, demonstrations were structured around live streaming production, LED display integration, audio routing, and camera workflows to support technical teams, media departments, and content creators. Meanwhile, dedicated sessions for Houses of Worship focused on building reliable live-streaming setups, improving in-house audio-visual quality, and equipping volunteer teams with user-friendly production tools.
“Our goal was to not only present guests with advanced technical solutions, but to ensure they left with new skills and practical knowledge that they can confidently apply to their own projects,” highlights de Villiers. “The opportunity to connect with other professionals, exchange ideas, and explore collaborative possibilities added even greater value to the experience.”
Guests praised the execution and depth of expertise available, with one attendee stating, “I really enjoyed being able to ask questions that are relevant to our application. Everything was professionally presented, and the SAW Namibia staff were extremely knowledgeable.”
“We are thrilled with the strong turnout – the workshops were a tremendous success,” added de Villiers. “The feedback we’ve received has been exceptional, and seeing the collaboration and knowledge-sharing between attendees from different sectors was truly rewarding and reinforced our ongoing mission to support and strengthen Namibia’s growing professional audio-visual community.”
