INFiLED has worked with logistics company, DP World to create a high-performance, energy efficient outdoor LED display for the company’s head office in Jebel Ali Port.
DP World wanted to create an immersive welcome experience for VIP visitors and global partners. One that would reflect its brand personality, even before visitors had stepped into the building. DP World needed a big-screen, super-reliable LED display to bring their vision to life.
To overcome potential issues such as the extreme temperature, excessive power consumption and hazards from dust and downpours, INFiLED modified and built an OREZ2.6-Plus display, selected from its small-pitch, high-contrast OREZ Series of LED screens. It was designed to stay low-cost, low-maintenance and high performance in high stress environments.
A magnesium alloy build improves cooling in hot weather, and that means a maximum power consumption of only 210W per panel – a third less power than conventional LED displays – and an average consumption of 70W per panel. With a pixel pitch of 2.6 mm and brightness of up to 4500 nits, DP World’s LED display could create pin-sharp images and exceptional clarity on even the sunniest day. An IP rating of 65 so dust storms, sea mists, or a window cleaning accident are no threat to operationality. Each tile is elegant and lightweight – a mere 7.6 kg per tile – to integrate easily into the building’s grand entrance.
