The very first edition of the MDL Beast held from 19 to 21 December, 2019 in Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh, was an immediate hit. The stellar line-up included 28 international music acts, including Tiesto, Steve Aoki, David Guetta, Martin Garrix as well as 24 home-grown Saudi Arabian DJs.
Entertainment offerings were split across five stages, with PRG delivering 360° technology and production services, utilising the collective capabilities of the PRG teams from the UAE, UK, Belgium, Germany and France.
The PRG team set up a total of 480 tonnes of equipment on-site, including audio, lighting, video and rigging for all five of the primary stages.
“We delivered over 3,000 sq m of high-resolution LED screens across the festival site, from the impressive and Guinness World Record-winning main stage, reaching some 37m high, to the immersive 360° video performance zones, the scale of this event was truly mind-blowing ”, explained Senior Video Production Manager, Niel Beelen.
“PRG is all about technical production services,” concluded Stephan Paridaen, CEO of PRG Group, who was in Saudi Arabia for the occasion. “In a short timeframe, our teams across three continents were able to come together team to deliver a truly mega event.
