Say the term ‘music festival’ and immediately the mind conjures images of camping in muddy fields with less-than-desirable facilities. However, for Wake Up Call, the high-end music festival held recently inside the grounds of the luxuriously appointed W Dubai – The Palm, this image couldn’t be further from the truth. Held over three days from 10-12 October, the event starred the likes of Rita Ora – an artist fast becoming a Dubai live events regular, having appeared a number of times and shot the video to her song New Look in the emirate – as well as Rüfüs Du Sol and Disclosure.
